Miss Rebecca Walton Griest graduated Wellesley in 1912 and taught history at Swarthmore from 1913-1914. She arrived at Ginling in 1919 where she taught English for three years and then taught history from 1924-1927. In between those two positions, Miss Griest took two years off to study at Columbia. Upon her ultimate return to the United States, Miss Griest sat on Ginling’s Board of Control. She is pictured at Ginling's 1922 Commencement Ceremony.
