After graduation, Ju taught at Baldwin School, and then went to study music at Oberlin College in the United States. Lived in Shanghai for many years. Soon after she married her husband Wallace H. C. Kiang (Giang, Fang), with whom she had three children (two girls and a boy). She was a teacher of Music and Chemistry at S. M. C Girls School in Shanghai in the 1930s and 1940s. She and her husband moved to the United States later in life, and are buried together in Fairview, Connecticut.
